Mission Statement

It is the intention of the Christian Mennonite Church of Ciudad Berna to:

1. Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the good news of hope, salvation, restoration, and liberty from all types of individual and social oppression by means of the Word, testimony, and deed. (Luke 4:18-19; Is. 61:1-3)
2. Invite men and women to be Christ's disciples that they may assume the values of the Kingdom of God in such a manner that their lives may be a testimony to others. (Mt. 28: 18-20)
3. Train leaders who will become involved in the church's various ministries, according to each one's gifts for the edification of the church.
4. Shape a community of sisters and brothers in Christ who in giving of themselves in service, will be agents of transformation, becoming "salt and light" within the Colombian context. (Mt. 5:13-16)
